They Actually Sewed Goat and Bull Testicles onto Prisoners — And the CIA Paid for It

Everyone knows the meme version of MK-ULTRA: LSD, hippies, mind control. That’s the sanitized Disney cut.

The part they don’t put in the Netflix documentaries is that the CIA spent decades funding doctors to surgically implant sterilized animal testicles into hundreds of prisoners — mostly Black and Mexican inmates — while simultaneously injecting other prisoners with plutonium.

The Program Almost No One Talks About: MK-ULTRA Subproject 94 & Related Human Radiation Experiments

From the 1940s through at least the early 1970s:

• Doctors at San Quentin, Vacaville, and other prisons were paid by the CIA (through front organizations) to perform “rejuvenation” experiments.
• They removed prisoners’ testicles, then sewed in testicles taken from bulls, goats, pigs, and executed inmates.
• Over 500 documented cases of animal-to-human testicular transplants at San Quentin alone under chief surgeon Dr. Leo Stanley (1922–1951). The CIA revived and classified the later phases.
• Simultaneously, the Atomic Energy Commission and CIA injected at least 18 people with plutonium and exposed hundreds more to uranium and radioactive isotopes — without consent or knowledge.
