The Truth About Long COVID and Vaccines: Are We Being Misled?

Posted on August 13, 2025

We've been sold a narrative that vaccines are the silver bullet for COVID-19, slashing severe outcomes and, supposedly, long COVID. But when you dig into the numbers, something doesn’t add up. A study floating around on X claims 78% of long COVID patients were vaccinated, while only 22% were unvaccinated. If vaccines are so protective, why are the majority of long COVID cases among the jabbed? Are we being fed a steaming pile of nonsense by Big Pharma and the medical establishment? Let’s break it down.

The Numbers Don’t Lie—Or Do They?

Mainstream studies, like one from the New England Journal of Medicine, claim vaccines cut long COVID risk by up to 50%. They point to data showing unvaccinated folks had a 10.4% chance of long COVID in 2020, dropping to 7.7% during Omicron, while vaccinated people were at 3.5% risk in the same period [Web:6]. Sounds impressive, right? But here’s the kicker: if 80% of the population is vaccinated, as was common in Western countries by 2022, you’d expect most long COVID cases to be vaccinated just because of sheer numbers. That 78% figure isn’t proof vaccines work—it’s proof they don’t eliminate long COVID. If anything, it raises red flags.

Why are so many vaccinated people still suffering from fatigue, brain fog, and shortness of breath months after infection? The establishment says it’s the virus, but what if the vaccine itself is part of the problem? X users have been shouting this from the rooftops: “Every one of these studies fails to distinguish between long COVID and vaccine injury. They have no control group of people who weren’t vaccinated” [Post:1]. And they’re not wrong. Where’s the study isolating unvaccinated long COVID cases to compare against vaccinated ones with no prior infection? It’s suspiciously absent.

Vaccine Injury or Long COVID? The Blurred Line

Scroll through X, and you’ll find countless stories of people who got vaccinated, never tested positive for COVID, and yet developed symptoms eerily similar to long COVID—chronic fatigue, heart palpitations, neurological issues. One user put it bluntly: “As soon as I started seeing major red flags in the jabbed presenting with a myriad of serious maladies, I knew they would bury them under the guise of ‘long COVID’” [Post:0]. These aren’t just anecdotes; they’re a pattern the mainstream refuses to investigate.

Studies like the one in BMJ Medicine admit their data is shaky, failing to adjust for confounders like other health behaviors or missing data [Web:8]. Yet they still conclude vaccines “might” reduce long COVID. Might? That’s not science—that’s a guess. Meanwhile, the Lancet notes that vaccination’s impact on existing long COVID symptoms is “controversial,” with some studies showing no improvement [Web:14]. If vaccines were the cure-all, wouldn’t we see clearer results?

“They’re lumping vaccine side effects with long COVID to hide the truth. Follow the money—pharma’s got no incentive to admit their shots might be causing harm.” — Anonymous X user

The Missing Control Group

Here’s where it gets infuriating. Most studies, like the one from the University of Michigan, compare vaccinated and unvaccinated people who’ve had COVID-19, finding 8% of vaccinated cases vs. 27% of unvaccinated cases had symptoms at 90 days [Web:2]. But where’s the group of vaccinated people who never had COVID? If vaccines are causing long COVID-like symptoms, we’d see it there. Instead, researchers conveniently ignore this group, leaving us with half-baked conclusions.

The CDC and WHO keep pushing vaccines as “the best tool to prevent long COVID” [Web:13], but they don’t address why vaccinated people dominate long COVID stats in some studies. If 78% of cases are vaccinated, and vaccines reduce risk by only 15–50% (depending on the study), that’s a weak defense against a condition affecting millions. Why aren’t we demanding better answers?

Follow the Money

Big Pharma rakes in billions from vaccines, and governments have tied their entire pandemic strategy to jabs. Admitting vaccines might contribute to long COVID would be a PR disaster. So what do they do? Bury the signal in noisy data, cherry-pick studies, and dismiss dissent as “anti-vax.” The CDC even got caught withholding data on boosters because it might “increase vaccine hesitancy” [Web:7]. If the data’s so clear, why hide it?

Unvaccinated long COVID cases exist—nobody’s denying that. But the 22% figure tells us they’re a minority, despite being at “higher risk.” Maybe the virus isn’t the only culprit. Maybe the spike protein from vaccines is triggering immune chaos, mimicking long COVID. We need studies that dare to ask this question, not more of the same recycled narrative.

The Call to Action

It’s time to stop swallowing the establishment’s story hook, line, and sinker. Demand transparency. Push for studies with proper control groups—vaccinated people without COVID infections, unvaccinated people with long COVID, and a clear distinction between viral and vaccine-induced symptoms. Share your stories on X, support independent researchers, and question everything. The truth is out there, but it’s not coming from the CDC or Big Pharma—it’s coming from us, the people who’ve been ignored for too long.

What do you think? Have you or someone you know experienced long COVID-like symptoms after vaccination? Drop your story below or join the conversation on X. Let’s keep the pressure on for real answers.
